Perhaps you need to look into superbike regulations. Now if you actually meant street sportbikes, change the wording of the actual comparison. And one guy making a lap time with a particular bike doesnt mean anything.

Yes, the V4s is the midrange Panigale, what do you call it??? The comparo didnt say best 25k sport bike that I read. If you want cheap, you are in the wrong forum, bang for your buck isn't in the liter class at all, check out the 600's.

I Ride: 2019 V4S
I've seen the new S1000RR M spec in person and it is pretty underwhelming visually. Apart from the new headlights, which look great, the rest of the bike looks cheap and dated in my opinion.

It's obviously a great bike on the track, but it's even more refined than the previous generation S1000RR, so it's going to be pretty boring on the road. I owned a 2016 S1000RR and while it had great power and a crazy top end, it was quite bland to ride compared to my V4S.

Even the guys on 44Teeth said that they'd pick the V4S over the new S1000RR for street riding, as the V4S just had that wow factor and character that the S1000RR just doesn't have.

Everyone's different though and wants different things from their bikes.

It is hard to compare bikes anyway.
The BMW M has carbon rims, while nobody who is racing is using carbon rims.
The V4S has 1103cc.
The Aprilia has 1078cc.
BMW and V4 have suspension that is not allowed in racing.
V4 (as in config) vs 4 in line.
...
You could go on and on and on...

In the end, people will always compare themselves and buy the bike they like. For me, money is an issue, but S1000RR vs V4 isn't.

The perfect bike for me? The agility of the Aprilia, the power and looks of the Ducati and the reliability and dealer network of the BMW.

I have 1400 miles on my 2020 S1000RR M and I can say there's not one place the Ducati V4S beats it beyond appearances and perhaps sound, which are both pretty subjective. Plus you can add about $5,000 worth of bling before you're even at the same price. There's a pretty big flat spot around 5,000rpm in 2nd, but I have no doubt that will get worked out with a tune. And it's 1000cc, not 1100...
