Hopefully I'll have the new S1000RR in my garage in a week or two. What I really took note of is that the Aprilia probably isn't for me, when I honestly thought I might be interested in it. I'm right at 6 feet tall, and I don't want a cramped cockpit.

i am a fan of MCN but i take their "review" with a grain of salt.

Remember few years ago, these people said the new Honda CBR won the Superbike shootout.. which was absolutely crap.
Thanks from Phl, Twistedracer, Mutt1979 and 2 others

I don't think they were off in their assessment of the things that they liked about the Fireblade... I don't know that the types of riders Ducatis attract place the same value on those things.

All the S1000RR reviews I've watched say a lot of the same things that MCN is saying - although Neeves is the first one who is not a fan of the electronics on track.

just to be clear, i'm not saying one way or another on the new BMW.

I'm just saying I've read every episode of MCN going back a decade and they are definitely biased. Fireblade was and still is shit compared to all competitors and not just Ducati. Could Honda make a better bike above all? absolutely. they could beat anyone by miles but they choose not to.

going back to BMW, I think the new BMW will be up there and they did a very good job bringing up and/or being very competitive with their rivals, unlike Honda.

Good personal opinion by Mike, but he said the relevant point "buy the one you like the look off"

Its always been this way, 99% of the time its chocolate or vanilla choosing bikes. My criteria, a bike must look good, sound good and get your juices flowing- Ducati everytime!

yes I was laughting when Honda came out on top.
2 guys who race new hondas get smoked by nearly everything else.

They must be getting confused about the MotoGP Honda's

The Suzuki is the one from left field. Very well priced and gives the Ducati/BMW a run for their money
Thanks from youngR and Twistedracer

For sure. If they picked Suzuki, I could understand that like you said above.

The bmw is on carbon wheels which is fair since bmw offers it as an option. But it is probably responsible for a large part of the agility and good laptime on track.

As much as i like reviews, i will always take every bike im considering and take it for a test ride and see what suits me best...

What you and i might think is awesome, someone else may not.
