Ducati v4 oil filter cover
 
Iím planing to change my own oil.But i heard the oil filter cover is hard to remove. Any tips or tools I can use?

use 3 m8x1.25 jack bolts in the cover holes to easily remove it

I can agree ... it's a bugger to remove. Haven't managed to do so yet.

So, found the answer.

The holes in the cover are threaded for an M8 bolt. You therefore remove the (smaller) bolts that hold the cover in place and then screw in three M8 bolts making sure that you tighten each of them up a small amount in turn to avoid skewing the cover in the bore.

The cover is then levered out ... bingo.
