Slip-on Exhaust Options

Hi All,

I am looking to get an aftermarket slip-on exhaust for my v4 base. This is my first sports bike and I've never changed stock exhaust on any of my bikes before. There is a lot of jargon out there that I do not understand. Primary goal is to sound louder than stock and make myself audible on the road. I've already had a couple of incidents where cars cut into my lane without noticing me. So that is the primary concern.

Are there any options in the market that are road legal, not mess up my warranty and cost less than Akrapovic? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

if you search the forum, you'll find a lot of options

If I remember the road legal ones:
- Akrapovic slip-on
-QD exhaust

Still, for just a slip on, very expensive, to my feeling

If you want LOUD then these guys will make your day they even say: "Designed for the aggressive rider that likes it light and loud."

Some other guy on here says his SC exhaust is 116db. No Bueno in my book.

I bought the Termingoni slip-ons (which included the UPMAP). Sounds great, pretty similar to my 1098 w/ Termis. Definitely loud enough for me to stay safe, but not obnoxious. And thousands less than the Akrapovic. But beware, the term "slip-on" is used loosely, it took some time to install and get it all correctly fitted to my liking.

Glad I didn't buy the Arrow right away, as they now have a newer version with Db killers and a new look:

I've been looking at this system and it quotes some good gains too with the T-800 up map.

Anyone have any bhp output data/graphs for the Akra slip-ons? Since Ducati took them on oddly numbers seem to disappear

please, don't ask for data or graphs, as this will unleash a whole new level of never-ending discussions about weight, gears, tuning devices, ego's, relative humidity, ...

I know, I don't want that either. But there's not even a claim of any sort!!

At least with the Termi you can get some sort of graph, see below. And for a slip-on that's quite impressive, even if you're conservative and apply a sales BS margin.

The problem is

No one

Has a dyno sheet, here in the US

With actual numbers of the T800

Or arrows slip on

Or termi slip on

All we have are termi in-house dynos

And you all know in-house dynos tend to read a bit high
