I ran DDA for about 10 track days, unfortunately its performance is not that great. I purchased Aim Solo 2 DL and plan on using that going forward. I did keep the DDA to have the lap time going on the dash on my GoPro videos.

Ok. Will do. In the past I ran regular Solo in my BMW M3 and it worked really good. I donít anticipate any issues with the Solo and look forward to be able to analyze logged data. The only reason I went DDA in the first place was desire to have everything integrated, but I think I figured out a good way to mount both lap timer and GoPro with the camera capturing dash and also none of it blocking my own view of the dash. Iíll test it on August 3.

I'll probably do the same the other way around: use the DDA+ for recording CanBus data like rpm, gear, lean angle etc. and combine that with my detailed racing line data from my 20Hz VBox Sport.

A smartphone - suitably mounted on the bike - running RaceChrono Pro works pretty well.

smartphones only have 1 satellite measurement per second (i.e. 1Hz sampling-rate) this is not enough for precise track-log analysis especially at high speed sections (i.e. corners get cut-off or overshoot occurs regularly):

I used Harry’s Laptimer app at first with iPhone its build-in 1Hz satellite receiver, pairing it later with my 20Hz GPS VBox Sport made all the difference to compare and really learn better racing lines.

Solo 2 DL worked really good. There is really no comparison between DDA and Solo DL. Solo just gives all you need without messing with anything. No buttons to click, no proximity issues, no memory limitations, no forgetting to get it going, just lap times as they intend to be with the finish line in the proper gps programmed location.

I was able to download data into my computer over solo generated WiFi (no cable to run) and ďanalyzeĒ it to the best of my ability. It will be very cool to get my hands on a lap from someone quick for comparison and see where most time is lost.

I feel like DDA is more of a toy and Solo is a proper race tool, which is really a shame that Ducati can produce this amazing bike, but canít give a proper built in lap timer with telemetry to track enthusiasts. My 2 cents.
Thanks from RdashP

What all brackets did you use for that set up?

The one on bottom is what it says on it. From a company in the UK. I fabricated the plate out of 2” strip from Home Depot. This is aluminum and it is 1/8” thin I believe, unfortunately camera vibrate a lot as thickness is not enough. My plan is to find something thicker and do the exact same dimensions. This arrangement is the best I could come up with and I tried a few different approaches. This one works well, as long as I can stabilize the camera vibrations.

Black bracket comes with Solo
