Repairs all summer long

Does anybody here have any advice...

My bike has been at the dealership being repaired since July 19th (50 days ago). The electronics stopped working and every rider aid on the dash shows “error”

I emailed Ducati customer service 15 days ago and did not receive a response.

I wasn’t able to ride my bike most of this year because it has taken so long to fix.

My warranty will expire before I will be able to ride it again. I am very frustrated as the warranty has effectively been reduced to 1 summer.

At the very least I would expect for Ducati to extend my warranty until July 2020. I have put less than 5000km on the bike because this year has pretty much been a waste.

At this point I wish that I would have purchased the Aprilia RSV4

Damn, that sucks. Hopefully, the dealer will take care of you.

Not sure about Canada, but Ducati North America is totally worthless to help fix known issues.
I had to contact Italy to finally get an issue fixed that was dragging on for over a year.

I've had nothing but positive responses to all my issues from both, my dealer (HudsonValley Ossining NY) and Ducati NA - the dealer is obviously the first step for anything....if they start the process right away you're usually on the right path to a resolution...

This bike is the first extended warranty we've purchased on any vehicle in many years. I was just too apprehensive about future issues. Really sucks man, I know your pain from other rides. Helpless feeling sucks, and having a dealer who isn't proactively helping can make it even worse. I only have 650 miles on mine but so far not too bad.

If it were me I'd be taking it up the food chain as high as necessary. 50 days in the shop is unforgivable by Ducati AND the dealership. No excuse for that, you'd think they'd have to give you a new bike by now. I'd be fighting for a buyback.

Make sure the radiator wire isn’t pinched. I had that happens and was causing errors on my bike. The 19 models corrected this issue. If you need assistance let me know and I’ll send you my number and we can talk over the phone about it.

It is at Maranello but I don’t actually blame the dealership, it took Ducati about 5 weeks to send them replacement IMU units. Ducati sent the wrong parts a couple of times.

The dealership has been fantastic since I purchased the bike from them.

It turns out that the IMU units wasn’t the problem, Ducati told the dealership to start swapping out components to figure out what the problem is

I have emailed Ducati North America a few times and they haven’t responded.

At this point I kind of hope that it takes them another 6 months so that I don’t have to worry about winter storage.

Ducati Dallas had my Multistrada for over a month a couple of years ago. It had to have a whole new vertical cylinder jug and head put on. But, they kept me updated and did it right the first time. And now my bike is great.
