I see they do a heat shield kit for the 959/1199/1299 but cant find one for the V4, does anyone know if such a kit exists for the V4, I am thinking of adding these along with some heat tape underneath to see what happens, any thoughts

The heat on my v4 is nothing compared to 1199. Only heat I am getting on v4r is on left calf and it is nothing like the all round roasting of the twin. Usually I am leathers though which makes the 1199 very manageable.

As I mentioned above I'm thinking of adding frame covers see the links below: along with heat reflective tape underneath on both the frame covers and to the small plastic piece that runs just below the seat on the side of the frame, what's people's thoughts on this

Frame Covers:

Tape

how do the remove this small plastic piece on each side:

The reason I'm am thinking of doing this is: this is the only area where I am getting lots of heat against my thighs ie from the frame and the small plastic piece on each side just below the seat / tank

lined a good portion of the inside of the frame, lower section of the tank under the seat, under the seat.

I notice more heat protection with my leathers than my Rev'it jeans. That being said it's nothing that is hot enough to the point it's uncomfortable to ride.

Has anyone tried ceramic coating the header pipes? This should drastically reduce heat transfer around the pipes.
