Seem like the two camps are pretty evenly split, with maybe a slight bias towards preferring a wingless variant.

The good news is the Panigale party is just getting started. The V4 platform is far too new for Ducati to abandon it, and the 2020 seems to only be a mid cycle refresh. Which leads me to believe a complete update will be coming in the next 2-3 years. Similar to the 1199/1299 transition, sadly with the adoption of the V4 layout I doubt we will be so fortunate as to receive a displacement bump. I'm also keen to see how they name it as the V4 lacks a numerical/displacement reference like all previous superbike generations. Either way, exciting times for the superbike segment.

I am not a fan of the winglets because I tend to filter between rows of stationary vehicles behind traffic lights! I can see these being a problem when doing so!

I vote against the new design. Why take away the look and credibility of the R version. I see like purchasing a Nissan skyline GTST and wacking a GTR badge on it.

Not to mention fussy. LOL. Ducati got it perfectly, "minor refinements". Both new and existing owners should be happy. Minor upgrades, easily retrofitted, except for the frame.

They want them on, so if you donít, then expect to put in a little effort to remove them and purchase aftermarket block off plates or make your own.

Just like the mirrors, I'm not a fan of the folding wiglets either.
Of course, they fold only once.

Having just bought a new V4S layover, I can say I am not interested in the 2020 design. I don't want to be on the street with a bike that has winglets and if I spent significant time on the track, I would have bought an R. I DO like the R fairings and windscreen that provide better wind protection.
The suspension calibration might be better for both track and street. I would consider that if my bike gets to the point where I am rebuilding the suspension.
That only leaves the front frame. It will be great to get some feedback on that, but is likely only noticed at the track when riding 10/10.

I have to say if they had gone and put more power into it or put significant improvements onto it right after buying my bike (essentially not following a 3-4yr cycle) I would have been pretty choked. As it stands I'm happy about my new bike. The savings I got would not have justified spending the extra money on a 2020 as it sits.

Rationalize it any way you want....certainly understandable....but New & Improved always sounds good to me...from 2020 on, the S model will only come with wings...Iíd bet any Ducati that has the high power & torque specs of the new v4 line will have them - there are reasons that Iím sure have nothing to do with marketing - Ducati just giving us more & more of what we want....."Iím not complaining"

What are everyones thoughts on the 'NEW' 2020 V4's

Being an R owner I couldnít really care less what they put into the 2020 in terms of buyer remorse. Actually I hope the good stuff trickles through. New models are always an evolution and it is critical for the success of the brand. For me it is more about maintaining a consistent and sustainable rate of evolution. That way assuming I dip back in for the next purchase I can be confident the conveyor belt has moved at the same pace the whole way through. That was partly why I was happy to sit out the 1299 cycle and enjoy the 1199 for longer. The winglet debate is pretty amusing. If they took everything off the panigale range which was track focussed and not road focussed it would be a....super sport!

for whats its worth, the handle bars stick out further than the winglets do... so if you hit a vehicle while filtering, it will be from the handle bars first
