Any of you NYers up for a spirited run Sunday morning?

Might be one of the last weekends of the year, the weather will be manageable if cold at 50 degrees, but it will be dry.

I'm thinking bright and early up around Bear Mtn / 301. Let me know if you're game and we can coordinate on a launchpad.

You madman... well if you make a long distance haul you'll probably need hot food and/or coffee by the time you get there, so how about this as a reference point:

It's certainly worth the ride in the spring, summer and early fall. Hell, even the FBF guys head up that way, as it's the closest spot to where roads start to get really good.

But in tomorrow's weather, that's a lonnnnng way...

Yeah. I just had a procedure done on my arm so I will skip it. But I will def come up in the spring and beat the tires down with you. but I ride all year as long as no snow and ice on the roads.

If you are ever up in the Catskills near exit 18 & 19 on the NY Thruway I will take you on a spirited ride through our twisties with 30 degree grades. I have yet had anyone on a 1199 keep up, but then again they weren't riding a Superleggera!

I will definitely take you up on that! Though given how cold it was yesterday it may have to wait until the spring.

As for keeping up, well... I'm certainly cautious on public roads I'm not familiar with, but give me a few laps to learn where the hidden driveways, oncoming left-handers, gravelly turns, etc. are found and I'll give you a run for your money - or at the very least will make sure you are not bored :-)

I recently got shown a great road up and around Monticello. It's roughly 23 miles of decent twisties. If we get an unseasonably warm day any time soon I'll drag some of you sob's up there.
