Poll: Which Helmet

I am currently looking at three different helmets

A. Arai Corsair V Nicky 3 Stars

B. Rossi Winter Test GP Tech

C. Bell Star Carbon Matte

Just thoughts, opinions, or prior experience. Thanks

Love Arai - Best helmet for ME by far. I have two Rx7 GPs at this time: Duhan TT and a Red Bull stickered Pedrosa.

Rossi GP Tech - too predictable.

The Bell - I haven't tried one but it looks very nice indeed.

Bottom line, I've heard nothing bad about any of them. That are all quality lids and will do the job nicely. Get to a shop and try them all on - Get the one that fits and looks the best for you.

I personally would choose option B. I currently own 2 GP tech helmets (5 continents and element Rossi replica) and they both fit me like a glove, however when tucked in the eye port covers the top view. Plus the price is great compared to the Arai replicas 800 and above. i tried the Arai before and i just didnt like it. Very comfortable but makes your head feel like a dome and all those vents dont help, especially hated the 2 vents covering on the shield. As far as the bell i heard really good things about it, havent tried it out yet.

Gotta pick a lid that fits you right. For me, Arai. Corsair vents great and is comfy to my dome out of the box. Helmets are a personal thing, but they have to fit and function to the rider.

Here's Your Answer

Get one of each like I did! The Arai is super tight, and the Bell is super ventilated. The Transitions shield is flawless and so is Bell's visor replacement system. Arai should learn something from them, their system is antiquated by far, but their helmet is awesome. Like was said, its all a matter of what fits you best man!

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately I live in a really tiny town and the most expensive helmet they carry is Fulmer, so I don't have the luxury of trying on these helmets. I currently ride with a Suomy extreme spec r.

ok i will never tell you what to get but i will tell you my 2 cents. Ive had the arai rx7 corsair and the shoei rf1000 (now arai corsairV and shoei rf1100) i purchased the shoei first because i got it for 299 at the time and the arai was like 800 and i didnt feel the arai was 500 bucks better. The arai was a better helmet for me it was lighter and didnt fog as bad as the shoei. When i sold my bike i sold both helmets. Now that i have the 1199 i bought a suomy spec 1 r extreme wall st graphics. it was 750 list i paid 475 with a free tinted visor. I couldnt be happier with it. I thought the arai fit good the suomy fits fantastic. The alcantera liner is supurb. only thing i hate is the way you change the sheild. I want to get another helmet but for my 2nd helmet i want to get the bell. been reading nothing but good things. according to webbikeworld and revzilla the bell rs1 (i think its called above the vortex but below the star) has more features then the star and its cheaper. Bottom line is get what fits best they are all very close.

I got the Bell for the last 4 months now. I had a shoei X twelve but was looking for a matte carbon helmet to match the 1199.

Hmm more than an opinion, just a fact: my X-twelve is getting dust in the closet. I'm more than positively surprised by this helmet.

Anyway you should try them all, the fitting Arai/Agv/Bell is different and you may find your answer this way
