New bike, new gear!

Sooooo, I知 picking it up a new (to me) 1199 S tomorrow at 11:00 am, and I need gear.. I知 fully invested in Klim for snowmobiling but I see there are other brands that seem to be popular and very nice. I致e found that Klim is the best of the best in the snowmobile world, how do they compare on the street? Is Dainese worth the premium?

+1 for Dainese and Astars. Also consider Rev'IT. Same quality but with more options for a toned down mature look, yet still a sport bike jacket. Look at Spidi as well, not a fan of the look of their leathers this year, but I use a Dainese leather and Spidi mesh. Go with what fits the best in any of those brands and you won't regret it.

Thank you very much. I’m shopping now as the sandman skipped over me yet again... Do you guys always ride in full gear? My only friend that rides a Ducati rides “all the gear, all the time” seems like he was reciting a mantra from his club. I’m not into the big logos or brand names plastered all over the jackets and pants so the RevIt might be my best option. Thanks gents!

Leather jacket, kevlar jeans, and a quality pair of gloves and boots (short or long) is a very classic look that you can never go wrong with in terms of safety and comfort. Get a cool helmet though, wild graphics go awesome with pretty plain gear i think. Its a cool contrast. Arai Corsair X is available in a range of cool graphics.

ReVit ignition 3 jacket and pants are great. A real three season jacket. You can take out the windbreaker and the thermal liner. The Galatic jacket is nice too. Dainese is cut for thin people. If you have wide shoulders and big chest they simply won’t fit well. If you want a perfect fit get Vanson to make a custom jacket for you.

If you are still searching for gear, select the one which provides you best comfort, safety and of course styling at the same time.
