Yes - I was told to install it after break-in.

It's done. Sounds awesome. Can't wait for a nice ride tomorrow!!

I thought the R came with Termi slips already... At least, the Ducati website seems to indicate that.

So, the "full" kit for an R should just be the installation of the header and mid pipes. Of course, they would have to remove the slips to install the upper stuff...

The R comes with the same exhaust as the base and S.

The full Termi kit is a box that comes with the bike.

My bike outta the crate.

The R comes with FULL termis in a box. The Tri comes with Termi slip-ons, also in a box. Legally they can't ship the bike with the exhausts installed, so they have to ship it with the base exhaust.

The mechanic laughed as he handed me the box of "stock" parts.. said "think the Termi kit shaved some weight?"

the box was about 10lbs heavier than when i brought it in..

Not to be a dick, but, that video is pretty much a complete waste of time. Blurry, very cursory, and what's up with that music? Anyone with any business doing this on their own would have absolutely no use for this IMO. As a millwright, I turn wrenches for a living so maybe I'm biased.

Has anyone done just the slips? I'm comfortable stripping my bike down but do I need any heavy duty tools?

Took me 3 hours, you should be fine with standard tools.
