Brembo T-Drive Rotors

I removed my original 330mm discs in favor of the smaller T-Drive units. I have had previous experience with this set up in the pastBrembo T-Drive Rotors-20130625_142225.jpg

Brembo T-Drive Rotors-20130625_180122.jpg and wanted to retain the electronics that come equipped with this bike. I have completely removed the ABS system and now run a single brake line for each caliper up front. I had precision washers made to fill the counter sunk holes and this enabled the use of the sensor ring. They fit very snug and remain seated during disc removal when necessary.

Why would you do this? The OEM setup is rated amongst the best brakes on the market. I do not understand. I personally swapped out both my clutch and brake M/C for RCS units and it makes a world of difference. But to decrease the rotor size, unless going with a full ceramic... i do not understand??

Yeah I don't get it. Unless you're racing your Pani, are you really going to see results of this mod? Doubt it.

Actually changing the Brake MC for the RCS 19x unit is even crazier than changing the rotors unless you did all the rest of the stuff. .. You just mismatched your caliper to the master cylinder and removed any feel you had by doing the RCS modification.

Not saying the rotor modification is good, but the RCS modification by itself is a really really bad idea.

I dunno man. I absolutely love my setup. The rcs gives me such incredible feel. Much more then the oem setup. I can feather the brake one finger now. And it's substantially smoother then the original.

Just my 2cents tho

Yea, changing the masters isn't the best idea. The ratios are quite different. I have a PS19 and billet radial masters in the garage unused because I didn't want to screw with it. Also, the ABS is quite seamless....no need to remove it. I use it on the race bike and if you have ever locked up a front end like I have then you would know it's something you should leave ON the bike. You paid $1,000 for nothing?
