Engine ice review and Lucas slick mist speed wax review

So what did I do in VA with Gunny, Flobrandx, and Shawn? We worked on the Panis of course. I wanted to put in a radar detector and a stem mount and engine ice. Gunny wanted test his go pro and do some other work. i decided i dont need a mount and didnt attempt the radar. It was raining on and off so we went to colmans and bought some products. First was the infamous Engine Ice and the second was the lucas oil slick speed mist wax (Gunny wouldnt let me touch his products so i had to go buy some can you believe that)

Engine ice the install was not hard just annoying. I did not remove the the front fairing and i did not cut any fairings like anti hero did but you definitely can to make it easier. You have to remove the right mid fairing and lower left fairing. I knew i was going to do this so on my ride down i kept checking operating temps so i can compare.

Ride down stock coolant. lowest temp 178 at any speed above 60 mph. i couldnt get it any lower. In stop and go traffic was as hot as 218.

Ride home engine ice. this gets a little tricky so here it goes. in stop and go traffic temp was 208 but when i was under 10 mph it got up to the 218 degrees. it did take a little longer to get to 218 than the stock but got there non the less. from 60 mph to 85 mph temps were at about 178. so it was about the same as the stock coolant. at 85 mph to triple digits is where the ICE made a difference. it got as low as 162 degrees (triple digit speed)

VERDICT the job is not hard but its long and very very annoying. If you are a track rider and see those types of speeds and can use the ICE (or liquid performance) do the job. you will see a difference (hopefully feel the difference too). However if your a street guy or just cruise around town dont waste your time and money doing this change it wont be worth it for you. Side note the overflow tank even with the blue of the engine ice you cant see the level.

So as some of you know i am a original spirits bike cleaner and polish guy (old version of honda bright) stuff works great. Gunny wouldnt let me use his so since i have 6 cans at home i wanted to try something else. i bought
lucas oil speed mist wax at the recommendation of the guy at the store. Its a great product and leaves a fantastic shine but IMO not better than the honda bright and you have to do more work to get the same shine.
Verdict- Not a bad product by any means but you get the same results with original bike spirits at a quicker pace. IMO original bike spirits cleaner and polish (original honda bright) Still the champ.

PS I was not serious about Gunny not letting me use his stuff. He didnt have any. whenever i go there what is his is mine its always help yourself.
Thanks from duc, ttkarp, Gunny Fitz and 5 others

almost forgot the engine ice is 64 oz. the pani holds 78 oz so you need 2 bottles of this. you will have plenty left over.

I very much wanted to try E ice but since I track my bike I'm not able to. Good stuff though. I'm going to have to give this Honda bright a try.

make sure you get original bike spirits cleaner and polish. the original honda bright is not made anymore due to pressure from environmentalists. the new honda spray cleaner and polish sucks.

MAKE SURE YOU GET THIS
