Well after 2hrs in A&E it turns out to be tendon and ligament damage. No riding for a few weeks thats for sure.

Will tackle that ****** gear change rear set today and post pics IF I manage to make progress.

Thanks for all your assistance guys.

Hey guys,
Just trying to remove the shifter foot lever so I can replace it. I have the first allen removed and the lever is hanging, but the freaking allen bolt that has the ball that the lever rotates on is facing the inside of the bike. There is literally no room to fit an allen key or allen driver bit to move it. I cannot rotate the gear change rod enough to get to the backside of it. Any ideas?

Loosen the jam nut on the shifter. The shift rod will be hard to turn, as its Locktite'd in the shifter. It is also reverse threaded.

Twisting it around is the only way to get to it.

Thanks. I noticed when I tried swinging the rod around, the still attached foot lever was hitting the heal guard and supporting plate, so I removed the heal guard and top allen of the plate and swung the whole assembly down. The rod rotating enough on its own to allow top down access to its allen from that position

Okay so the bolt that faces the swing arm thatís attached to the smaller whole on the top of the gear shift lever, is the reverse threaded or normal threaded like how do I remove it by turning it counter clockwise or clockwise, because I turned it by loosing the jam nut on the shift rod, so itís facing the opposite side. Rear set is off. I wish I could post picture but the forum is not letting me, not can I see others pictures.
