Group Buy Akrapovic Full Exhaust

I am not sure if anyone ever tried to set up a group buy for the full Akra system (Ducati Performance Evolution for 959 or 1299) but since I am still considering a full Akra system...but certainly not for $5.1k, I thought I might give it a try.

Having said that, since even 10% off is still a large amount of dollar bills, I am just gauging interest for a possible group buy. So...if you are interested, please post up and let me know at what price point you would be in for one.

Thanks!

if you want to spend 1500 because it says ducati performance go for it. why not try and get a group buy for the evo exhust and take 10-15% off the same product that is already 1500 cheaper.

I know that the non-DP-branded version is $1.5k cheaper. However, without re-iterating the already lengthy discussion on whether or not it should be tuned, I prefer to have my bikes tuned once installing a full system. Hence, I am currently leaning towards the DP one as it comes with the up-map.

Add a PCV or any other control unit to the previous exhaust and you are not far off from what I am thinking to get the DP Akra system for. Nevertheless, I may inquire about any discount on the previous one, however, Akra doesn't seem to like discounts that much...I now Ducati Omaha had a group buy a while ago for $3.3k...don't think Akra has lowered their cost significantly in order to get much lower (if at all).

Yes exactly, buy the cheaper version and get a dyno tune with an add-on processor or tuneboy.

The $1.5k is the difference to the MSRP of the DP Akra. Depending on whatever discount I could get on the DP ones will close this gap to a point where *I* may start thinking about whether it is still worthwhile to go with the old and add-on.

I bet if you put the DP system on one bike. Then put the cheaper non DP system on another bike and you not told which bike had which system.

You then took both bikes for a ride. I bet my left nut you could not tell the difference. The power difference between the two would not be noticeable.

The DP up map may add 1 or 2 HP if that. And even if it did no one is going to notice that. Save yourself some money and just go the Full Evo system from Akra. IMHO.

If you decide to go with the EVO system let me know. I would be in on that.
