did ducati make the same mistake on the v4

I dont know if this is true but on the 1199 ducati made the mistake of incorporating the mirrors with the windscreen. meaning you cant change the wind screen without taking of the mirrors and usually without taking off the entire front.

on the 1299 the mirrors were moved like the 1098/1198 series so you can and had nothing to do with the windscreen.

is it me or did they do this again with the v4. anybody who took off the mirrors with the 1199 knows how hard they are to put back on with the connectors and the wires pushed in the small space.

this would be an epic fail along the lines of no oil viewer and melting bottom fairing from exhaust. 1199 first run guys know what im talking about.

as usual ducati fully thinking things out half way.

The mirrors on the 1199 are easy.

for all you claiming that the 1199 mirrors are not a problem do me a favor. make a short video of you taking off and installing the mirrors. this shouldnt take no longer than say 10 min right (one side). would love to see it. please dont strip those screws that you will be accessing when you do it would hate for you to have to spend 10 bucks on screws. then after you are done say this to yourself. why on earth do i have to take off mirrors to change a windscreen. while you are at it ask why the mirrors are in a case that move via vibration and are not the complete housing like on the bmw those mirrors actually work.

I have to agree with Mark on this one, the mirrors on the 1199 is a pain in the arse. But it's the same design on a lot of bikes, mirrors bolts to front fairing/fairing bracket/windscreen, it limits the number of mounts points, which is a smart design.

Let's see a video of you doing it that takes longer.

are you literate? i said it is a problem to change them. you say its not. so show me how easy it is. lets see you take off one side mirror and get it back on in under 10 min with that little wire and clip in that little housing. then get those screws in there so it threads and keep the mirrors on all by yourself. ill wait for your video.

ill be waiting a long time. i bet you never even took them off before.
