Its inside a black thing you have to unbolt then blow air in (its reverse flow see workshop manual)

How many Ks? How often are you changing the regular filter?

Every 3000kms she gets new filter and oil. First time ever cleaning screen though. 17000kms total.

Its called for to do at every major service whether or not they do it and just check valve clearances is another thing.

I checked mine not alot came out but 100% backed my suspicion the highly regarded shop in WA never changed the run in oil.

There was sludge inside the sump.... its only got 7K kms on it.

I changed to full synthetic at 5.5K and it been a year as per manual so doing it again at 7K.

This was after I tipped it upside down

There's a lot to be said for doing stuff yourself.

Removing the oil pump screen requires dropping the sump pan
