Throttle free play

Anyone finds its irritating that the oem throttle has too much free play ?

The 1x98 series , which also encounters the excessive throttle play can be solve by changing to a r1 throttle tube or by adjusting the throttle cable.

But for the 1199 since its a fly by wore throttle , the mechs says its cant be adjusted or solved like the 1x98 series .

Any suggestion to fix the 1199 throttle free play ?

Any Inputs is much appreciated .

Kelvin .

Don't seem to have any free play in mine, very crisp response to even tiny movement from the stop?

Feels like no more than 1-2mm radially, if you know what I mean.

i agree that there is too much free play (well at least in mine) and i have had mine apart and looked into trying something but i don't know how to fab something up to take up the slack.

Mine is very responsive. No issues. Maybe it's something the dealer can fix?

Mine is a 2013 bike so maybe they have changed something without mentioning it?

You may feel it when the bike is static but i cant notice any issue when you ride the bike

It also has play left to right and yes it sucks.

Kyle Racing is working one a billet throttle tube to solve this, not sure what the current process is on that project but a few month ago we had send them our OEM tube so that they can get going on it.

Tks for the response pll !
Truly appreciate it .👍

Well after riding the 1198 for 1.5 yrs . I guess I must have gotten too used to it.

I love the Pani for sure . Maybe I'm still getting used to the bike . Maybe cuz it's still a 1st gen bike.
Hopefully Dan Kyle gets the throttle up soon . The free play is just So hard to get used to , especially when ur in Singapore and its mostly stop and go everywhere on the bike 😣

i think it is all what each person is used to riding with, but for me i always had my street or race bikes with very little free play on the throttle and find it gives me better feel and control mid corner, lets figure something guys.
Thanks from Fubby
