Torque for front and rear sprocket nut / bolt.

Hi folks, just about to fit the 520 conversion 15t front and 41t rear...... can someone please tell me what the torque setting should be for the front sprocket bolt, and the rear carrier nut.

Thanks in advance
Lee

Front bolt is 8mm allen key, rear is special tool, they're available on ebay and usually double up for the axel nut...
You'll need to undo clutch slave 3x 5mm allen key and gear change linkage 1x 5mm allen key to give clearance.

nope, we're all still waiting on the shop manual. I generally use the torque settings from my streetfighter manual for the present time.

Regarding the front sprocket nut, workshop manuals for both the 1098 and the Multistrada 1200 specify a torque of 186Nm. Quite a difference form 70Nm. Specified rear sprocket nut torque is 230Nm.

Flipper, please let us know where did you obtain your torque figures from. IŽd like to know which is the right one before changing my sprocket.

Thanks !!!

1098 front has a 24mm nut, hence the higher torque figure. Pani has a bolt half that size hence the lower torque figure. Hope that helps.............
