I Ride: 2012 Panigale 1199
Melted battery bracket 1199

Just curious if anyone else has seen this problem on their Panigales. This is a 2012 1199. I've noticed one small black spot under my bike after riding it for long periods of time, it was too dark and thick to be oil. I finally got some time to take it apart and it looks like the rear of the battery box is melting, and dripping down the inside of the lower fairing and onto the ground.

Has anyone else had this issue? Not sure if it's that lower radiator hose getting hot, or if maybe the battery is getting too hot?

Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything is appreciated. Thank you.

Seth

Battery failure I would think, get rid of it. I've had 3 Pani's and never had an issue.
