Dropped my bike :(

Well, what can I say, it had to happen. Dropped it today for the first in 14 years of my riding, feel like a complete tosser.

Fell on the right side when I took off the rear paddock stand, I do not know how it happened and before I realised the damn thing went and it was too late to stop and it hit the ground hard

Luckily nothing broke, just the obvious scratches here and there, ruined by day big style.

Sorry, I had to post this to get it out of me lol.

Not even riding I think makes it worse, sorry to hear, been there done that, life goes on. After the earthquake knocked my Ducati (prior to the Panigale) over I was gutted and nearly cried, however now not so hung up on materialistic things, more that I am ok. So glad to hear you only have some psychological scars to heal.

Dropped my 848 because I didn't put the kickstand down all the way. Was 20 yards away as I watched it roll forward and hit the ground. Sucked, but I got over it. There's worse things in life than battle scars on your bike.

What bothers me is that these bikes are really fragile, ok fine, it went down and to hell with it but I keep wondering if the bike will be the same structurally? Has the fall done something to bike which I am unable to know at this moment in time?

After that hard drop, any cracks could have developed that I do not know of and could get worse over time, this is what bothers me, not the scratches on the fairing.

But at the same time many people drop their bikes and they just carry on with it and it seem to function fine.

Don't worry.. happens to the best of us..

I remember doing this to my R1 - except the fuel tank ended up with a massive dent in it! Was pretty pissed...

Everything can be fixed head up dude!

Did that with another bike taking off stand. Worst part is feeling like the biggest jackass for something so easily avoided. Just fix her up & move on...

Parked my CBR929RRR on my driveway (back in 2000) without the kickstand being all the way down. It rolled forward and fell over on my company car Talk about feeling like a complete dumbass

Years ago I had a V-Star as my commuter bike. Got home after a long day at work and forgot to put the stand down. Damn thing pinned me against the wall till the wife came to investigate.
