I wouldn't call the 899 a 'premium' bike for high end buyers...it's my understanding that this bike was developed more to cater for those who can't stretch far enough to buy the 1199?

1199 Premium yes...not the 899.

I wonder what else they have up their 'premium' sleeves for next year!?

I guess it would be a blinged up Panigale done in conjunction with different designer labels such as Diesel, etc who knows. Perhaps they may go proper silly and do a Victoria Beckham edition where she would be responsible for the stiching of the seats and add some pink handle bar ends lol.

You never know they might do something just for the celebs, will see, time will tell.

Since VW owns lamborghini, I bet they might do a tie in with them. ie collaboration on design or just a tarted up 1199 or such. Lamborghini has always had really innovative designs, think it'd be cool

Maybe they are going to sell this year's GP13s directly to the public since no one in MotoGP seems interested in them.
Thanks from pedrin, JeffD, Wade and 1 others

The 899 is indeed a premium product in the middleweight segment. Most of the 1199 new tech (Superquadro, monocoque) at a smaller, less intimidating, more attainable price point. Only real competition at this price/exotic level is the MV Agusta F3 800 (and a strong competitor that is).

I love that idea but since it is technically Audi that owns Ducati, an 1199 "RS" (a la RS4/RS5/RS6/R8) would be the more natural tie-in.

Remember the AMG Diavel? I wonder if those values are up as collectibles?
