If it were me.. I'd be going the R1M route personally. The electronics are on par with the best that is available today. Fully dynamic TCS, SCS, Wheelie, rear-lift control. Parts availability would be much better I would think as well. Same v2 Ohlins as the Pani V4. Already comes with Ti rods..

Good package, decent price. IMO

R1M, throw an exhaust with a tune on it, get the suspension set up and you've got a weapon

They say that the 2019 Bimmer is going to be all new. Just saying... I vote R1. And, it's going to run hot!

ive heard that the new bmw is going to be crazy nice problably from the same source as you did.

that being said believe it or not the r1 starts 16600 the bmw 15900 once you add the package for bmw you are at 19 and change.

its a tough call. if its the r1 it has to be an 18 because then you get up and downshifts.

I had the 2015 R1M. I liked the cheap parts and the seating position. I was just as quick from the. first track day on the R1M, but The handling felt vague after being on an 1199. I sold it and bought a 1299.

I think you'll go through much less money with the Yamaha. Maybe you should ride the V4 before you decide to part with Ducati.

I would vote R1 simply for the fact that everyone knows how to set one up and parts are everywhere for when you inevitably wad it up as a track only machine. The sound gives me a bigger boner and ultimately I feel that all motorcycle choices should be based upon boner intensity.
