Standard or a Termignoni map (race, race evo)?
Look iall they did in factory is install akrapovic, put the connector of valve jus plug it in so that annnoying light would not turn up(red light for exhaust valve) but that is if it comes up,and then they put up-map from termignoni up and that is it,no problem nothin zero i been testing it for them also on the road and i kept posted if any trouble come up but there is none.Since june i have it installed and that is few months before other ppl and cost is 4140euro in europe retail

Hi Luke,

I emailed the Akrapovic UK importer yesterday to clarify why this system is too loud and does not include baffles but please see the response they received from Akrapovic below.

“Loudness of our exhaust is on the same level as stock exhaust. It is just not completely clear on details as even stock has 105dBJ. There are removable noise inserts included.”

This being the case this will be fine to use on UK track days and due to it having baffles will be quieter with them fitted.

Please get in touch if you have any more questions.

Regards

So after that I've just asked them to confirm the db figure of 102 db or less with inserts and hopefully I will be the proud owner of an Akrapovic full system........ooooOOOOoooo.......... watch this space

@python4933:
Apparently no re-map needed however an ECU re-flash of the standard map is recommended.
Listen to me now buffles are only made for sound so it can be used normally. Now keep in mind flul akrapovic has no serial number on the exhaust it cannot be homologated here in our country which is ridiculous with laws etc and all know akra and all respect and like it now for germans swiss and other countries this is serious violation they take your bike istantly. So if you wanna ride it sure you will never be able to make it road approved ever.

In Slovenia cops rather see people have open exhaust(esspecially in city) so cars dont run them over, due to sound so you are more seen, but they do annoy ppl who race through roads then you can get in trouble but also not that big of the trouble.

Now this will not be street approved
Thanks from Mutt1979

How exactly does the Termi up mapping work ? I have a friend with Termi's, can I use his up map if I get the Akra system, or is it a once only use ?

Hm you can use his but then he has to lock his bike to normal. One usb key for one bike.Or buy one from ebay for 100euros they can be found.
So one usb for one bike, after you install akra just plug usb up map in tail conecctor under the seat and upload. That is it.

No trouble nothin and it works great.
Dont be alarmed maps for termi maps for akra etc they both open race exhaust so they are similar same thing was on 1098R plug ecu from termi and your good to go.

Imean you could do emissions mix fuel air over the computer but that ius science fiction unless you track for mega money

I'm not too worried if it's noisy, like you, the louder the better and just hope the police don't pull me over

But I want to use my bike on UK track days with this exhaust which genereally has a noise limit of 102 db maximum. This is why I wanted to know about noise levels as the only time I will have the baffles in is at the race track
