My 1199 has a SC Project exhaust. It is freaking L O U D ! , which here in Vegas is fine and I love the fact that idiots driving around me can hear me better than "seeing me".

Anyway, am I gonna have problems with the cops in California?
I have a friend with a Tuono Factory with the SC Project exhaust. Also freaking loud. He has yet to be pulled over for noise level. I'm am just north of the San Fernando Valley if that helps.

I also had a Racefit slashcut on my older ZX10R which was louder and never got pulled over either.
Thanks from Phl and rrgermanlv

My sister lives in La Crescenta-Montrose which I believe it's the same as Glendale.

I know for a fact somewhere close to their place (maybe 4-5 miles, idk) up in the mountains there is a very nice place to ride with bunch of twisties (I took my car there) but I wonder.... don't wanna get in trouble, especially living out of state

I know the area. It's close to Pro Italia (dealer in Glendale) and a lot of the locals go up there regularly. You are referring to Angeles Crest Highway. Great road, but you have to be careful for LE. They will unlikely pull you over for noise, but they can be strict about speed.

Good deal...! I might go then.

I have countermeasure equipment on my bike but for sure will be double careful in that area.

Riders heading in the opposite direction are pretty good about signaling you that LE is ahead. As long as you are making the trek from LV, you might want to consider taking about a 30-40 mile ride to the Malibu canyons area. You can stop by the legendary Rock Store while you are at it.

Oh yea! The good ol' "helmet tap tap" signal! lol

Nice, will check that one out as well!

The only nice place to ride we have here is Lake Mead Recreational Area (about 50 miles of "fun")

Never been to Lake Mead. Last time I rode in LV was probably over a decade ago. I knew the local dealer back then and he gave me a 996 for the day. It was cool enough and rare enough back then that the valets would let me park it among the ballermobiles, lol.

No problem with the loudness with the SC project here in So Cal. The Harleys are louder. As long as you don't act fool around the residential areas they usually don't bother you.

I had a Racefit Growler (Fing Loud!) on my ZX10R and never worried about getting pulled over by a cop, here in NorCal.

Growler's are loud indeed. The slashcut is basically a straightpipe (see attached) and a bit louder.
