For anyone else the metal wire bracket that holds the exhaust heatshield up, I don't think gets used because the stock heel plate sits in a cnc recess.

If you try install the bracket then heel plate over the top it doesn't sit properly. Also cut down the heel plate bolts as they protrude and damage the lever.

Wondering if anyone has bothered to measure the stock height of the brake and gear lever (from bottom of it) to the ground.

Old thread but I'm switching the DP onto another bike for a friend of mine. Going with low peg position and standard shift. Which shift rod length is best?

Its in the manual what length

I just noticed it comes with 3 small rods, 2 are for pegs so they don't fold in and one is between shift linkage rearset pieces which I forgot.... still works.

Also undo and locktite every bolt/nut otherwise it will undo itself.

Reason I ask was the manual was wrong for the rods and lengths when I set up the GP shift.
Looks like itís wrong again. The instructions tell you the opposite lengths of what you need. Now Iíll have to take it apart again tomorrow and switch to the short rod.

But itís wrong. GP shift high peg position you use the long rod.
Iím setting another one up for standard shift low peg position and it says long rod and that doesnít work. So Iím guessing itís backwards the way the GP shift instructions were.

Turns out the length measurement in the instructions were reversed between the standard high and low peg positions. Whoever wrote those instructions really screwed up.
Thanks from able duc

Will have a look at swapping mine as I noticed the nut at the end of the shift rod has dug into the swing arm to bare metal.
