Iíve found that ithe screw that goes through the linkage to the shift rod is a bit to long. This is what digs into the swing arm. I shorten this screw flush to the nut and it doesnít touch.

Can you clarify.... mine is low setting/standard.

Ive pulled mine apart it needs grease were it pivots on the footpeg shaft and shift linkage on rearset, mine had rust spots....

The small rod (C1) doesn't get installed on the shift rearset as per the manual its not required.
Cant install if you tried.

Iím going by memory here as that specific bike has gone to its new owner.
Standard shift low peg position was the longer of the two DP rods set at the longer measurement.
If I remember right the manual gave the shorter measurement.
