Front Tire Warmer Fitment

I just traded in my 2006 999s for a 2012 1199 base model. The bike is amazing and I'm looking forward to doing plenty of trackdays on it this year. However, it looks like the front fender is so close to the tire, that it will be an extreamly tight fight for my Woodcraft tire warmers. In addition, there is the ABS sensor wire that is clipped to the underside of the fender and I'm concerned the wire could be easy be ripped off the clips. Doe anyone have any experience running tire warmers on this bike, any advise?

Yes - plenty.

I'm running Chicken Hawk warmers which do fit tight. Mine were catching on the cheap plastic clips so I removed the clips under the fender that run close to the tire down to the forks. I then rerouted the ABS sensor cable to the top side of the fender and rejoin under the fender at the fork tubes. I ended up drilling a couple of holes in the fender to install a cable tie to hold the cable in place.

Thanks for the quick reply. Seems crazy this is required for a bike that is intended for the race track. Not that I want to spend the money, but I wonder if anyone makes a replacement fender with sufficient clearance to run tire Warner's?

The Capits must be very thin. Which model do you have?

TNT and yes they are thin but have no thermostat. They have an electonic control which keeps a constant temp

I think I might have to pick up the Capits and sell my Woodcrafts. Thanks.
