Second year at COTA...

Paid attendance was 55,600.

Got press passes and was able to meet a few riders, get Vale's signature and video with him...

Races were horrible because there was no real racing except for 3rd place in the Moto2 race.

Marquez is the man at COTA, everybody else just fights for second.

Dani Pedrosa is the man. Felt terrible for Dovi.

Sucked when Rossi crashed.

Parts Unlimited people suck. We had passes to their hospitality tent but the lady decides to kick everybody out right before the start of the MotoGP race (if you weren't an employee, passes be damned). Had to watch from turn 19 infield and the monitors were out.

Best part by far was meeting Keanu Reeves on the plane and have a 20 minute conversation with him in the Atlanta Airport about racing (true fan). He likes Lorenzo, I told him Lorenzo fan's are idiots, he gave me a bro hug.

Great track but not suited for motorcycles in my opinion. Second year in a row where even Moto3 was too spread out to battle.

Think I'll head to Assen next.
Thanks from Phl, Gunny Fitz, pedrin and 2 others

Was there in '14 and back again this year. Biggest peeve were the big screens which weren't working.

Didn,t get pit passes (sold out) but while walking through Moto-America pits in our Technomag attire we were recognized by the team manager and were invited to a guided visit of the garage. Tom Lüthi and Domi Aegerter took time to chat with us.

Domi later signed my new IXS leathers, how cool is that!

we've been going every yr since the track opened, Turn 15 section 18 upper row. I always have guess (co-worker) come yearly for this event. this time from OR and he stayed over one nite at my house and over weekend he stayed in downtown (party). He was so stroke that he came. I told him you've not seen the best until i'll go to Spain (Circuito de Jerez) (I was told) race. I'd seen Laguna Seca, Sachsenring, and been driving on Nürburgring Nordschleife and seeing Sepang race but never Jerez race and that is my next trip over see

I watched the races from the VIP tent next to T15 with my dad. My cousin and his wife would get us in. I think the moto2 and 3 races were more fun to watch. All the wrecks in the motogp race and Marquez's dominance took the fun out of it.

A very fun experience, though. We stayed at Camp of the Hills in Marble Falls, off RM 1431. A good place to stay. It would be a super fun road on a bike.

Mark, if you come down next year, I would highly recommend Tubby's bbq. I've ate there and Salt Lick. Tubby's is superior by far.

It seemed to me you pay for the "nostalgic ambience" and don't get very much food. And the food wasn't good anyway.

If you like beef, you owe yourself a visit to Blacks BBQ in nearby Lockhart. The ribs are brontosaurus size, the meat slides off the bone, and melts in your mouth. Unbelievably good. Yes, meat is murder, but tasty, tasty murder.
