New COTA Group Buy

I spoke with Kevin who was setting up the previous group buy and unfortunately he was given bad info by a COTA rep. I now have real numbers and gauging interest before I move forward.

The Grand Stand Suite is $20k. I don't think we could generate enough interest to justify it, and it's on the opposite side of the track. I'm currently looking at the "Legacy Suite". I'm told we can have it for $399 per person. THIS WILL NOT INCLUDE FOOD OR DRINKS. However, going this route we're free to bring our own. I'm local and willing to do the leg work for a few kegs, cases, bottles etc. There's a plethora of catering services in Austin so I don't see that being an issue. I also asked about using their on site service. The other option is leaving meals up to the individuals. The food trucks are good, but lines are long and it's not cheap. I'm 99% positive I could set something up for around $100-$150 per person for both Saturday and Sunday (this would include drinks).

I need some hard numbers to go forward with. If you're interested please list your name below. Also, let's not shit on this thread. $399 with the paddock passes sounds pretty good to me. Pics sent by the rep:

Thanks from flobrandx and Sinjin

I forgot to mention that this will also come with A Lot parking passes. This was golden last year. A friend of mine parked in F and it took him an additional 1.5 hours to meet us downtown.

Thanks from youngR

so it's $399 for the admission passes and $100-150 extra for the food/drinks, right?

so at most, $550 for both Sat and Sun?

The food/drink cost of $100-$150 is an estimate, but yes, $550 at the absolute most. I'm going to try for $500 per person all in though. If we all agree to forgo the food, $399 gets us the suite and passes.

Thanks. I received this e-mail today in regards to food/drink:

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I’m sorry for just now getting back to you, I have been waiting on a response from a few different people in regards to catering. We have a meeting today with 2 additional food vendors so after I get the final word from that meeting, I will connect you with the appropriate people. If you think of anything you need in the meantime though, please let me know.
