Catalunya Race 2018

I have a business trip in Barcelona the week of June 18.

The Catalunya round is June 15-17. I'm thinking of going to Barcelona a day early to attend the race on Sunday. Wondering if anyone on here has attended a race @ Catalunya before?

If not Catalunya specifically, any advice on where is generally the best place to view the race? Tickets in the main grandstand on the start finish are affordable and have screen viewing + podium celebration, which sounds like fun. The pricier tickets are at T1 and sector 3.

I like that main grandstand is covered, central, and has screen + pit viewing.

Advice??

Catalunya Race 2018

I was at the 2008 F1 race - amazing time I had!!
I would guess a General Admission ticket for a GP race would be cool, you can walk just about anywhere and sit on the grass if you have a blanket or chair. There was video screen coverage everywhere, not sure about a GP race...

I don't know if this will help, but I went to the final round in Valencia a few years back. I spent most of the time in the paddock so I don't know what the public areas are like aside from walking by them. The atmosphere is electric, on a scale that CotA, Laguna, and Indy cannot come close to comparing. And the attendance on Sunday is crazy. Plan on taking more time to get to the circuit (and anywhere around the track) than you would at any of our events here. The ambiance alone will make any view of the track awesome, even the cheaper/general admission seating. Save the money for swag, drink, and merriment. MotoGP in Europe is on a completely different scale than what you are used to. I'm guessing you will spend only a couple of hours at the grandstand between Moto3, Moto2 and the premier race. If you have extra money burning a hole in your pocket, nothing wrong with paying for the pricier seats too. Have fun, and take more pics than is healthy. You won't regret it.

The most expensive tickets available are only 140Euros. I'm looking at the raised grandstand between turns 1-3 but can't find any info on paddock passes online.

I’m going to the Austrian gp and going all out. Was doing it on my own but finally got the “Team Experience “ with Pole Position Travel so we could be in the paddock, see our heroes, and photobomb Dylan.... Watch for it

That's not bad at all. Sorry, I was unaware of pricing as I'm always a team guest and just have to worry about getting to the venue. At that price, I'd spring for the better tickets. If you can swing it, the paddock experience is awesome. The teams go larger at "home" races; they can only send so much to flyaway races.

Thanks again to Riki for sharing those links. I just purchased a Sunday Gold VIP Village Pass for Catalunya. This will be my first time at a MotoGP race.

By lucky chance I'll just happen to be in Barcelona for work that week, so I decided to splurge on the VIP experience as it's a pretty rare opportunity at a legendary circuit on what should be another banger season. Can't wait!!
Thanks from able duc and Riki
