Current lap times

Both Checa and neukirkchner in the 1.33s and 11th and 12th... Only two pani's in the top 15!

And about 12kms down on the Honda and Aprilia factory bikes...

Should have been at this test... Bugger.

Ok, so this mornings closed practice at PI, pole was 1:31.7 on the new surface, I'm quite surprised because its grippy... But the riders are saying they have no feeling in the front.. All bikes not just the pani...

With 4 mins to go of this mornings session Carlos is 12th with a 1:33.013 and Max is 13th with a 1:33.541.

Carlos managed a 316.7kmh top speed, not bad...

Yeah, I was "watching" it on that SBK energy zone thing. Not nearly as fun watching a chart of numbers refresh, but it beats watching Honey Boo Boo guessing lap times on the "Speed" channel.

For a while there I was getting worried, I was running 1:37.8 in testing 2 weeks ago... With less power and a substantially more standard bike... Nothing like your home track to get the pace up... Looking forward to next weekend..

Expected to see them in the high 1:32's so the times today are ok given Carlos has a tummy bug... Was not pitting for tyres, was pitting for more important reasons......

Maybe the poops gave him a few more km's down the straights

Gonna be a tought season for these guys against some very well sorted and fast bikes. Even the Suzi is going well.

yep, the fact is not that the Pani is not a good bike. It's probably already better then last years... it s just that for the first time since its debut, competition never has been tougher this the last 5 years. there are now 6 brands capable of winning races and 4 viying for the title!

Its the toughest WSBK crowd Ducati has ever faced...
and instead of focussing all their attention and budget, they're off trying to figure out how to make a alubeam frame work! ... letting their flagship bike and competition to a non factory setup ...

talking of not having your eye on the ball...

Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Aprilia, no Yamaha... BMW has been in the championship for a while and if I recall ducati won whilst BMW have been racing in WSBK...

What new compitition are they up against?

All of the above manufactures have raced in this championship, with world class riders... Not being difficult here, just stating the facts...

Lets be real, the racing is better and closer now because if a number of facts... One bike rule, tyres, rider ability, money, development, Honda and Suzuki are on very old development program's...

And Audi now own Ducati... It's not about money...

Time will tell, I am racing a Ducati for a number of reasons, but mainly because I'm passionate about them and can still get a hurry up...

I Ride: 1299R FE and a Pikes Peak
last times I saw were Camier P1 with a 1.31.243 and checa was p6 with a 1.31.523 so the gap is closing
