Bautista was 28 seconds ahead of Chaz in race 1 and 26 seconds ahead of him in race 2 I'm not kidding . same bike same everything.

It's not the frigging bike gents.

the announcers were saying what a slouch the L2 panigale was and how the new V4 is so much better.

IMO the ducati is the best bike on the grid followed by the bmw and the yamaha .
heres the thing I think the ducati was the best bike last year too.

difference being the V4 is a better platform for future development as has been explained a thousand times on this forum.

the scoring positions do not reflect the claim that Bautista's victories are from the overwhelming dominance of the new V4 . they basically tell us that Bautista is the fastest guy followed by JRea --- haslam sykes and melandri

Thailand will tell us more , but I would not expect to see Chaz catching up to the front runners anytime soon.

just my opinion
Thanks from BTrain5489 and able duc

Yes my thoughts also, MotoGP riders are selected because of top shelf talent Bautista was just unlucky to get punted from the ranks and who’s form of late has been good.
We saw the result over the weekend, I just hope Ducati are paying the appropriate wage.

I'm with Mac.

If you watch how Bautista beat Rea in the Superpole race it didn't look like the V4 is some sort of monster. It just looked like Bautista is the technically stronger rider and you'd expect as much given where he came to WSBK from.

An astonishing debut result for a WSBK rookie, and a new bike, and what a track!!

That superpole race was sensational, I like that addition. To see them all go toe to toe with no race plan but to go as fast as you can for 10 laps was refreshing.

The V4R is a motogp type bike and Bautista can ride the wheels off it, he loved it. The other riders are Superbike riders and struggled to understand how to get the best out of it in the first races. Although I heard that Davis was struggling with back spasms and an injury form a previous crash.

I hope Dorna don’t go nuts over capping its revs.

Going to be a great year, compared to next year. Haslam is well on the pace, the yamaha’s are right at the front and Melandri is looking good, and great to see the BMW’s up in the front pack with Sykes. Honda have work to do though.

Bottom line is Ducati built a 4 to come back in line with the other manufacturers and compete on the same rules, and pulled their pants down.

Round 2 in Thailand will be a beauty.

Finally so happy to not see the boring domination by team green!
