FIM court of appeals

Any bets on the Ducati aero ruling? I say the court upholds the stewards findings. To overturn their ruling will create anarchy.

I wouldn't be so sure. They had to turn over data for the device. If that data shows it creates down force, which we all know it does, then they may be forced to remove it. Aprilia said they did testing and its not an insignificant amount of down force either.

So says aprillia, through their new f1 guy.I can see honda freaking out, Gigi is neutralizing their rider advantage with clever engineering

Reminds me when all the F1 teams got their panties in a twist over Colin Chapman's innovative 'active' suspension Lotus back in the early 80s. It seems even now, you are penalized for being creative. Fact is once all the teams have them fitted to their own GP bikes, they'll stop crying into their milk over it. Gigi DaLigna has not necessarily broken any FIM rules, merely interpreted them to his advantage or rather that of the bike. Let's see how long the governing body take to slap some ballast weights onto Bautista's V4R, once Rea starts to slip down the score sheet further.

Following a hearing in Mies on Friday 22 March, the MotoGP™ Court of Appeal handed down its decision today 26 March and the parties (the four appellants, Ducati and the FIM) have been duly notified.

On these grounds, the MotoGP™ Court of Appeal rules that:

The appeals filed by Team Aprilia, Team Suzuki, Team Honda and Team KTM are admissible.

The provisional race results are confirmed and are declared as final.

The request to declare the Device illegal and ban its use in future races is rejected. An appeal against this decision may be lodged before the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) in Lausanne Switzerland within 5 days pursuant to Article 3.9 of the 2019 FIM World Championship Grand Prix Regulations

It will be interesting to see if they appeal it again to the supreme court of motorsports, or just suck it up and play monkey see monkey do.
Personally I think Gigi is using that stuff as a smoke screen to hide whats really going on. Psy-ops works, when your winning.
