Mugello - SPOILER

Awesome race, unexpected outcome given free practice sessions over the weekend.

Amazing to see Petrucci win at last, its been a long time coming but he was on superb form today.

Dovi should have dived up the inside of Marquez on the 3rd (?) to last lap, there's no doubt Marquez would have done. Dovi needs to start making tougher moves if he's going to really challenge for the title, which lets face it, is Marquez's this year unless he gets injured and misses 3 or more races.

Yes great race, loved it. Really happy to see Petruci get the win. Agree that Dovi needs to be a little more aggressive. Even said that to my wife during the race.

if you watched the press conference MM said he wasnt going for the win except if there was an opportunity on thelast lap. he said he had many moments and that as long as he was ahead of dovi thats all he cared about.

the master of mugello (although hasnt won there in 10 years) did he finish yet? i know the yamaha is crap but petronas had 2 guys in the top 5 to start the race.bwhahahah last win anyone anyone?

ps marquez wins montmelo and germany. before the break level 8 soon

MM did say he missed the apex on Turn One and that made Petrucci sneak in and at the same time he had Dovi on the other side. At that point he had a decision to make, go for the win, which could have him end 3rd as well.

Ya that race was crazy good!

Jorgay is off to Japan to meet with the HRC engineers to see if they can get Marc's bike to work for him. In the meantime, Nakagami continues to show him the way round.
Thanks from Phl

marc destroyed jorge in an Italian interview. ill get it hold on. ive also read that dovi was very upset about pertux winning and not giving him the win. 9 wanted that one and said something to the effect that he will help dovi wherever he can. this is why jack wont get the factory he wont bow to the alter of dovi. just hearsay but makes sense.

ajv 80 said this i copied it cause it is truly an amazing and true observation by him

To be fair Rossi would have won today if it wasn't for the mechanical failure the caused his bike to crash and cost him the win, no fault of his own. Luckily for the others Rossi could tell the bike was not right very early on, he deliberately hung back in 18th so as to not impede the leaders... absolutely perfect timing in hindsight as his Yamaha suffered catastrophic failure soon after... no wonder they call him the GOAT

wish i wrote that but didnt
