Old article, but I for one will be interested if Honda comes out with a new model. I'll also be interested if Aprilia does the same. Yamaha has only slightly modified the R1(M), and I'm not much interested in Kawasaki or Suzuki.

Too much weight and complexity for racing, unnecessary for a race engine. That setup is for getting torque and power in spite of draconian emission laws in the USA and EU

Seeing as the BMW S1000RR with VVT (ShiftCam) is lighter than the V4R, I'd say the "Too much weight" portion of your argument is incorrect.

Torque isn't a bad thing, but I agree with the "draconion emmissions laws" portion. The BMW requires an aftermarket tune to make up for the neutering the US models received.

I am more concerned with him taking the title away from Johnny right now than him leaving for Honda.

Honda has been killing careers for yeeeeeeaaaaars, the last championship was by the skin of their teeth in 2007 by 2 points. It's gonna be interesting if Honda HRC decides to finally swing their checkbooks WSBK's way next year.

I forgot to add though, if Redding comes to WSBK to take that seat, I'll be freaking stoked, love that guy
Thanks from The Avidmoto
