I think you will dig the new Arai. It flows tons of air and was very stable at speed. I also noticed how light the new Arai is. I've owned several Arai's over the years and this new model is hands down better compared to the older versions. I did have somewhat of a learning curve changing the shield on the new model but after a couple of shield changes, it was no problem. Good luck with the new helmet. I love mine.

I have the new X myself also coming from the V. Your review has been pretty spot on. With the V at a stop I'd have to crack the visor open to keep from fogging. The X can be left down with no problems. Agree size wise also. The opening at the bottom seems tighter when putting the helmet on but the same size as previous fits properly. The smaller opening at the bottom helps cut more wind noise out.

I prefer the old visor system way more though. I could change that out in a matter of seconds even while I was wearing the helmet. Now I have to take the helmet off to get everything lined up properly. Should have left that part alone.

As per previous question guys, will the old visor stock fit the new helmet?
Have quite a collection of clear/tint/dark/pinlock from the last few years, some of which are still in the packet.
I may be better served finding cheap end of line deals from the old model than having to start again.

Sorry missed your question earlier. No, the X uses a completely different visor from the older V models. None of my older visors will work. My X came with both clear and light smoke visors.
