Checking in. Probably won't be in town for Laguna, though....

I may be riding down.

I'm staying at a colleague's home in Monterey.

If I do ride down I may pre-stage some clothes and such the weekend prior 'cause I don't want to haul a bunch of crap either on my back or on the Pani. If I do, I''l be glad to haul some of your stuff too - I'll go back down to pick it up the following weekend.

If I trailer down I have room for another bike on the trailer.

CAVEAT: I'm still undecided.

Very generous offers. I will likely ride with a buddy that's got panniers for my stuff. If I trailer down I can take an extra bike (or gear) as well so I'll make the same offer to everyone.

I'm transferring back up here from Mississippi. Will be working in Richmond but aiming to live in Lafayette - Alamo area. Sitting in hotel room and gee I forgot how much houses are up here!!
So not sure if I qualify as a Bay Area biker or not but would like to hook up sometime. Certainly I'll be looking to get up to Infineion.

Welcome Gulf Coast.

Good to have you here.

Let me know if you need anything as you get your feet on the ground here. Got room in the garage if you need a place to store the bike too.

Yep - not a cheap place to live. You may also want to look in the Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Martinez areas too. Prices will be a bit less than in either Alamo or Lafayette and the commute will be substantially less painful than from Alamo.

I hear you on the commute but I hear that the new tunnel should open next year. Under strict instructions from the wife for specific school districts as well

There's still a couple homes for rent in Monterey that weekend--not bad if split a few ways:

Monterey, CA Accommodations - Monterey, CA Apartment Rentals - Rooms in Monterey, CA - Airbnb
