I went and saw the dealer last week and booked my bike in for the 1000km service, had to clock up another 95kms before it was ready for them, we have unfortunately had extremely poor weather, near torential rain, so I suited up with my thermals, leaters and rain suit, laxtex rubber gloves over the top of my gloves, cranked up my heated grips (yes I have heated grips, have raynaud's so need them all year round) and I was off, stayed toasty and warm, and DRY!!!! It bought back memories of my racing My GSXR750L race bike in the rain, however far safer. I was riding for 40 minutes in pouring rain, hitting the twisties and occasionally some big fast straights, I finally reached that 1000km mark, was awesome to see it flash up on the screen that it requires the service and to know now I will be able to unleash all the power that is available to me. So she's in the shop having what needs to be done and will collect her sometime this week, I have ordered a dark tint double bubble screen (hopefully this will stop the high speed buffering on my helmet) and also Termignoni slip-ons, they will arrive in the next few weeks so anticipating the difference from what others have stated. Still trying to get the smile off my face, what is even better is when my wife says go take the bike out!!!!!!

Go for a 41T rear sprocket too...you will have to replace to a new chain though, as you need more chainlinks to do so during this switch. Stock chain has 104links...when you go 41T rear...you will need a 106 link chain. Get a gold chain.

Switching from the stock 39T rear sprocket to a 41T rear will give you more noticeable difference in midrange kick and 6th gear top end pull.

It will be a perfect match for your Termis and it's Racing UP-MAP!

The 1199 "R" Panigales have gone 2 up on their rear sprocket. They now have a 41T rear...over the 1199 Base, "S" and "Tri's" 39T. Simple mod but very effective and dramatic difference. Did it to my bike!

Thanks for your input, this is why I enjoy this forum (apart from the recent spam LOL) as true experiences speak volumes. I discussed sprocket sizes etc with the dealer and we might go 14 front to reduce cost as not needing to change the chain, done this on many bikes previously with great results, however unsure on clearances etc for the swingarm, they are are talking to Ducati re this matter to ensure warranties etc are not void.
