Hello,
I purchased a track bike and it has the factory rearsets. I have been using GP shift for ever on all my bikes and would like to do the same on the trackie. Two options as I see it, factory GP shift linkage to convert the factory sets by flipping the gearbox lever or replacing the rear sets completely. The price for the linkage is close to half the cost of new rear sets (I’ve had good experiences with dukabike) plus I get adjustment etc. I’m wondering if anyone has a used set for sale? I’ve trolled the classifieds and can’t see any that are still live.
Thanks

Bro, for the 1199, all you need for GP is to flip the linkage 180. You MAY** need a new shift rod, but i dont think so. My 1199 came with OEM shifter (up only) and the linkage was reversed and the little eyebolt end screws OUT so its longer to reach....and was GP shift...me personally after 25yrs standard shifting it scared the .... out of me...so i flipped the linkage 180, and screwed in the lower eyebolt so it fit the shorter standard shift length.

Does that make sense? Shoot me another text if not...Heading to the post office today after work as discussed as well....

Can’t wait to get her back together, thanks!
Yea your right, the linkage can be flipped and mechanically it works. Only problem with what I’ve read, is that the reed switch in the shift rod needs to work backwards. Instead of being a push switch it needs to be a pull type (or vice versus) for quick shift to work. Ducati has a GP shift rod (that’s works opposite) for the quick shifter to work. It’s $300USD.
