1199 taillight on a 1299?

Ok I've searched and can't seem to find a definite answer to my question. Is a 1199 taillight assembly a direct for a 1299? I've read where a tail can be "made to fit" but I wanna know if just the tail light is a direct fit. Anyone with experience??? Thanks

my ducati parts guy said the tail light is a different part number between generations. the subframe, however, appears to be the same. I just got a 1299 tail track fairing for my 1199.

Yes, I found out that they are different part numbers, but I know that sometimes the same part will have a superseded number for a different year even though they are the same part. Thank you for the info
