Hey everyone, wondering if anyone else is seeing their TPS max out at 80%? I dumped the data from my ECU for my last race, and I'm seeing my grip position at 100%, but the TPS for front and rear cyl maxes out at 80%. Is this normal?
A friend of mine thinks it may be an issue with me running dunlop tires and the DTC not liking the diff it sees between the front and rear wheel speed.
The Pirelli's are a taller height profile so the ECU is seeing a faster rear wheel speed with the shorter Dunlops. This translates into a max delta of 15mph between front and rear wheel speeds according to the ECU data.
Do you think we're on the right track here and I need to order the Dunlop specific DTC unit? Or is this something else, or even just normal operation?
I've attached a pic of the ECU data.
Here is a pic of Grip Position vs TPS Position vs DTC Intervention:
In this pic you can see there are several times when the DTC is not intervening, but even so, when the grip is at 100%, the TPS is only at 80%.
Grip position is in Pink, TPS in Green, and DTC in Teal.
Here is another pic of Front Wheel vs Rear Wheel speed and Grip vs TPS:
Grip in Pink, TPS in Orange, Front wheel in purple, rear wheel in teal.
I would appreciate any insight anyone could lend. My DTC was at 3, Dunlop KR451 rear.
