after 2 seasons, the upper fairing has started to get more than its share of nics, chips and dings....while the bike is apart in the service dept, what better time than to send it out to a buddy for a respray...

the upper really did take a beating, and the photos do not show how bad it really is...the only hint you get is the white chip in the lower left corner - the rest of the red surface (and the white graphics) is riddled with small bb type hits....even though it isn't red yet, the primer photo feels better already :)

ordered the graphics kit from ducati (arrived in less than a week) and we already had the paint on hand from other projects

***Expected rant from Mark***

"This if ....... ........!! You'd think that on a $30k bike the paint would be impervious to rocks! ....... greedy .......s putting cheap ass paint on an expensive bike like this.
I know I know, this is just the soul of the bike. It's part of the joy of owning this bike. I should just accept it."

***End rant***

How'd I do?
