1199S Pic Request

Does anyone have a pic of an 1199S with the optional side panels mounted on the headlight fairing?

What is the idea behind them? An air flow kind of thing?

Its page 118/148 of the 1199S parts manual if I'm not too clear on what I'm looking for...

Yes. It is an aero piece. I personally like this look but most have chosen not to put them on.

I have/had them since i got the bike 2012.
They say you will have an advantage in airflow at high speed.

The first pic was at my dealer as i got my bike in 2012 and had to decide to put the spoilers on or not. (they where incl. in the "s" package)

The new 1299 has the Panels not as extra but a wider Panel as change in design.

I had the Supersport screen also and was happy with the package.

I tried both configurations and opted for the slimmer look so ended up taking them off. I believe Baylis was the one who asked for more wind protection at high speeds that brought these about.

i have them on and i think it looks better . the new 1299 has them already built in. makes the bike look mean in my opinion.
