Hi,
I know this topic has been covered on numerous occasions but any views or educated advice on moding the standard 1299 cans
I have planned to core the cans completely and have a section of 50mm stainless perforated exhaust piping placed surrounded by exhaust wadding. Any suggestions on piping diameter considering standard headers 60mm. Decided on 50 but someone will hopefully shed some info on this.
I have a rapid bike module already fitted and would like advice or info on the likely outcome on fuelling and power output.
i will eventually run the bike on the dyno but that will be in a few months , making do with checks on the AF ratio when the pipe is refitted.
Cheers

Bike goes on dyno first dry day

Low rpm fuelling smoother and noise very akra like deep but not offensive.

Will post dyno when sorted. Bike not long run in so I'm in no rush to dyno it.

Well cheaper than an akra!!
Should perform like a race can so better than coring. Wide bore stainless inners almost twice stock internals meaning much less restrictive and has some baffling so it's not hideously loud. Length of effective exhaust pipe work is retained / increased so in theory should have beneficial effect on gas flow ( wavelength / resonant frequency of the exhaust ).

Why not ?[emoji57]

Nice work! Would love to hear a sound clip when you get it bolted up.

Cheers. I will post a clip as soon as possible. [emoji106]
Sounds really good , a lot louder than stock but not offensive.

Your RAPIDBIKE module should adjust fuelling without any need to do anything. Couple of hundred miles and should close to perfect. I bolted up a much more radical full system to mine with air cleaner and massive runner tubes and went fine. I'm actually catching up with a tech from RapidBike factory in a couple of weeks to run through everything.
Have you the EVO RapidBike fitted ?

Yes. It's the evo.
The work you've done sounds good.

I've just looked your post and you've fitted fm projects system [emoji106][emoji106]

My miles on the bike have been limited by timing gear tooth failure found at run in first service. Just got it sorted last week.

Thanks

We need soundclips! Also, any pics of the stock insides before modification?

Lol. Let's see how the dyno goes. I'll post a graph when I get a chance to get this run and if your happy with the fuelling and the sound I'm sure it could be worked.
