Good to hear that it's all going well for you and your bike. I think the 1299 has managed to make some improvements and refinements in addition to performance improvements. I've never been stranded, but did deal with lots of small annoyances such as clutch bleed, brake bleed, gear sensor, hard starts, and vibrating mirrors that loosen and fold in by themselves. 8K miles on mine and it gets most of my attention compared to three other bikes in my garage.
I wonder if there is some type of insulation material that can be fit over the rear brake line to keep it from burning so quickly.
