Does anyone know where to get track bodywork and crash protection for the 1299 yet?

Haven't seen any race bodywork offered as of yet...but most of the crash protection that's available for the 1199 should fit the 1299....

cheers, ive just been told that the 1199 will fit but need a different bracket. do you have any ideas (or part numbers) for the crash protection

The Ducati protectors part numbers are the same for the 1199 and 1299. They fit both.

Thanks b9009b, where do you check the part numbers I can't see them for the 1299 on the ducati site yet, I'm keen to see what else fits

My t-rex proved itself AGAIN,............Twice this weekend, and a friend had a violent lowside including some serious slide time off track. my bike recieved zero fairing or other damage and my friend's spun a clip on, broke a rear set and scratched up, but didnt break, his fairings. again, ugly, but amaxing protection

Found these a little while back. I know they're not in the US but it does ship there.

Found them easy on the eye even for non track days........ not sure if these will fit the 1299 though, how different are the casings on the 1299 compared to the 1199, if at all?

anything on race fairing? still cant find any...doing track days with stock fairing is a but uncomfortable

Anyone ever find a good set of track fairings for the 1299 yet? I haven't looked too hard but will need a set before 2016 season....

Ducati sells a set of fairings for the 1299 for track use.

They are exactly the same as OEM except they are a plain white with no decals, so there is no oil catch bellypan.

They come with just about all the OEM fasteners and mirror block off plates.

There is a fake headlight and taillight assembly complete with electrical block off plugs for the headlights and taillights to satisfy these being disconnected.

Everything is all pre-drilled so they bolt straight on.

They supply spacers for the side stand, should you decide to remove that, along with a side stand electrical block off plug.

I picked my set up for $850, from my dealer, which included sales tax.

The only negative to some people is that they are ABS plastic the same as the OEM stuff.

I installed mine last Saturday, took about 3 hours, taking my time to figure out where everything connected to the bike.

I did use the original windshield and windshield fasteners.

I am in the process of setting up to paint these. Once done, I will be able to use these on or off the track and keep my OEM stuff in pristine condition.

I also installed the T-Rex Racing engine sliders. The 1299 and 1199 versions of these only differ from the "1299/1199" insignia machined into the end of the left side slider.

Trex crashed ok. I used it. Too bad the right side protector hit the kerb when the bike was slowing down, resulting in it dislodging and taking some pieces of the bolt threads around the clutch cover. No major damage, though.
However, just a few days ago i found one of the bolt that bolts to the left side engine casing through the frame (?) was sheared off for unknown reason (no, that side hasn't been crashed at all).
The sheared bit was stuck inside the engine casing.
I have to give them credit, the bolt was very hard it was very difficult to extricate the bit. Cost me $600 of workshop labour and half a day of work to get that half bolt bit off the bike.
Will not use trex again.

I find R&G design as so much superior and very happy with the look. Also it forms a cage around and through the engine space and bolts on to the alluminium engine parts, not simply bolted on to a few small threads on the magnesium casings (which seems a lot more brittle) like trex is. A mate also tested it twice and the results in both occasions were better than my crash with trex on.
And the protector does not even need replacing after two uses.

There is still nothing showing on the Ducati website. Do you have any part numbers available?

These were the sticker on the boxes, I think they are the parts numbers.

I'll be down at my dealer, today or tomorrow, picking up my Multistrada. I'll get the part numbers then and confirm them.

Yeah, they look right sure enough. One dealer in Germany offering them under those numbers too.
Strange how the numbers give nothing on the Ducati.com accessories site

Thanks again.
