Gday,

I am having an issue with my 1299S where by if i am in traffic with any amount of stop start, my clutch bite point slowly starts moving to the point where even with the clutch lever fully pulled in, the clutch starts to engage until the point where i can no longer stop the bike moving. The only way to avoid running up the ... of someone is to jump on the brake and let the bike stall.

I believe this is probably related to heat as i cannot see any leaks?

Ive had a quick search and cant really find anything. My local dealer also said i could replace the master?

Cheers

master cylinder need a rebleed with fresh fluid or issue with slave cylinder ??

How many miles are on the bike? I'd start with a flush and bleed but it was a pretty common mod on those bikes if memory serves to replace the clutch slave cylinder with an Oberon one.

I have also had this similar issue with my Kawasaki H2. It uses the same master cyclinder. I dismantled the master and it turned out there was a small piece of metal between the piston rubber and wall. No idea how it got in there. I suspect it was in there from factory. The rubber piston was also a bit deformed because of the metal part but i didn't replace it and it turned out to be fine afterwards.
