hey quack,

how did the conversion go? is there anything special or other parts required to do it?

i asked my dealer to do it, he spoke some french i could not understand. but said is doable easily.

I had a master tech do it. Your dealer is gonna say get the harness which costs north of 1200 dollars or so you can actually splice the wires and mix and match the right ones and waterproof the connections . You also need the air ducts or vents for the 1299s ... The most important mod for me was this !!! In terms of aesthetics this is a must .. wow...i thought its plug n play kind of a thing. will see what the dealer has to recommend. he didnt mention anything about the harness. but will keep you posted.

It's pretty straightforward. If you take your time n test things before putting back together like I did, it might take you a few hours. If you're good, then maybe 1-2 hours. No need for the harness. I highly doubt that even if you ended up selling the bike down the road that you'd want to reverse the process n put the base headlights back on anyway. Not worth the hassle if you ask me. Splice the wites, waterproof the connections just to be on the safe side and ride on. Definitely a must for base models if you ride at night. Plus it looks much better too.

thanks buddy. btw, your panigale looks sick...amazing.
